Ribbon ridge vineyard
How we started
The Ribbon Ridge Vineyard story started in 1978 when Robin Webster and Dewey Kelly purchased 41 acres for a vineyard in what would become the Ribbon Ridge AVA. They were married at the site the same year. Twenty-two years later, they realized their long-held dream and planted nine acres of Pinot noir. In 2003, they had their first harvest and produced the first Ribbon Ridge Vineyard wines.
ABOUT OUR WINE
Each year since 2003 we have produced a small amount of wine from a block of vines in the estate vineyard we call the Wedding Block. Our wines tend to have bright fruit, solid structure and complexity that reflect the vineyard and the vintage. All our wines share some characteristics — the luscious black cherry, blackberry and plum flavors with highlights of raspberry and strawberry. However each wine is unique due to the year-to-year diversity of the weather during the growing season.
In addition to the red Pinot Noirs, we also produce limited quantities of Pearl, our White Pinot Noir and Haley Rose Rosé made from 100% estate fruit.
The one characteristic that all RRV wines share is that they are all food-friendly styled to accompany and complement food. Must be our cooking background.
