OUR FAMILY STORY

Our story is a true reflection of Oregon — a vibrant tapestry woven from diverse cultures, deep-rooted values, and a shared passion for craftsmanship and care. Our wines embody the depth and character of the Ribbon Ridge AVA, shaped by the life journeys that brought us here.

Our farming roots stretch back to our grandfather — lovingly known as Aga-Joon — who raised our father on a farm in Iran, where pomegranates, grapes, and a variety of crops flourished. The lessons of cultivation, resilience, and deep respect for the land remain foundational to our philosophy and our commitment to sustainable farming.

After settling in Oregon, our family built connections through gatherings centered around our New York–Italian mother’s homemade dishes — always prepared with fresh, organic, and locally sourced ingredients. These shared meals became a celebration of community, culture, and care.

Today, with over half a century spent in Oregon, we’ve built Tystrya — a place where tradition meets terroir, and where wine becomes a bridge between past and present. Most importantly, it’s a place where friends, both new and old, are always welcome.

The Outdoor Pavilion

Our signature open-air venue, perfect for summer, features a wood-fired pizza oven, oversized smoker, and sweeping vineyard views. Nestled at the forest’s edge, it hosts up to 100 guests and embodies the spirit of Oregon gatherings.

The Studio

Minimalist and elegant, the Studio offers a serene space for private tastings and special events. Framed by forest and sky, it reflects the refined simplicity of the Pacific Northwest.
